Another SoMa milestone: this week, SPUR, the urban think tank seems to be a part of most everything that happens in this city (or at least has a report on it), moved into their new digs on Mission Street. The $18 million center's due to officially open later this month, in the mold of Paris's Pavillon de l'Arsenal, an urban planning center and museum. SPUR was formerly confined to two floors of office space in the FiDi, but now gets to shine like a glassy teal beacon for planning geeks. According to the SFBT the group still has $4 million left to raise to pay for the building. Good thing they have a fancy fundraising booze cruise coming up.
