Copper Watch

Paging 1315 7th... The Snitch notes that copper does indeed have fans out there, and thus the Copper in Architecture Awards. One of 2008's winning projects: San Francisco's own 1630 California, a 40-unit condo in Lower Nob Hill. On its copper fish scales: "As the building ages, and the copper oxidizes, the juxtaposition of these two materials changes and harmonizes over time." The architect? Stephen Antonaros, who's also the man behind the Haight's Whole Foods. [Snitch, previously]
