Hibernia Freshens Up a Bit

The Snitch reports that the $17 million renovation of the long derelict Hibernia Bank building at Jones and McAllister is kinda sorta pushing out the blight. All the power-washing and workers make loitering and drug dealing a little less fun there, apparently. But "getting rid of freewheeling mobs at the Hibernia Bank Building is a little like stomping in a puddle; you create a number of smaller puddles, but all the water is still there." No word on what owner Dolmen Property Group plans on doing with the Tenderloin building, but a good bath's as good a place as any to start. [Snitch]
