Two ideas on what to do with the half-finished or not selling luxury condos littering cityscapes these days, otherwise known as "monuments to a reckless development era": 1) "un-develop" them entirely, turning them into a nature reserves, as the Trust for Public Land would like to do in Tampa, Fla.; or 2) "convert" them into affordable housing somehow, or more affordable anyway, maybe with subsidies, as planned in Brooklyn. We hope the beneficiaries like their Viking range hoods or whatever. [LAT, City Hall]
