Wired has a story up about those to-scale models of entire cities. Maybe because nothing simulates that Godzilla feeling quite like building yourself your own city model to stomp all over, it seems there are a number of cool ones out there. And speaking of Godzilla, the model built for the Bay Area was meant for disaster planning, back before people used computers for modeling. It was retired in 2000 and now lives in Sausalito, if you want to know where to stomp and flail those stubby arms. [Wired]
