Radical Designs on Paris

New, 3 comments

Paris, which is apparently every romantic's most perfectest city ever, has 10 blueprints on the table for some radical redesigns of the city. Says the NYT: "the 10 proposals for a new master plan for metropolitan Paris, which were unveiled last week, may just be the kind of brazen idealism the world needs right now." Bold words! What's on the boards? Demolishing two train stations and creating a single giant one, buying train tracks underground and replacing them all with parks, a green belt circling the entire city, turning the Louvre into a Metro station, and an elevated maglev around the city.
