The front page of the Chron today has the city's planning chief talking up his fav buildings in San Francisco. John Rahaim "has doubts about the recent spate of all-glass towers, and the planning notion that tall, thin towers automatically are preferable to midsize blocks." But he likes the Millennium Tower for its asymmetry. He also likes the monster faces at 555 Mission St, and, like arch critic John King, has a certain affinity for the "taut skin" of the De Beers building at 185 Post. Talk of architecture has to get someone hot and bothered; click through for other pinup-worthy buildings. [SF Gate]
