Bay to Breakers Officially Sanitized

New, 24 comments

Following what some called the worst Bay to Breakers in memory, in terms of rampant pissing and trash-littering, the inevitable crackdown on the annual footrace has come: no drinking or drunkenness, and NO. FLOATS. Friends, the party's over: "Zero tolerance policy on alcohol. Anyone openly drinking alcohol or displaying public drunkenness will be subject to fines and prosecution. All wheeled objects and floats are prohibited. Inappropriate equipment on the streets is dangerous and can prevent runners and walkers from completing the race in a timely manner." [SF Citizen]
