The F-Market Alternative

Cashing in on the waterfront, the Port of San Francisco's going to fling open the doors in February for water taxi companies to travel between AT&T Park and Fisherman's Wharf, also stopping at the Ferry Building. We'd be following in the footsteps of other cities with water taxis, like New York and Long Beach (not to mention, uh, Venice, Italy). Other possible stops include Fort Mason, the future site of the Exploratorium, and the neighborhood-to-be Mission Rock (a.k.a. Seawall Lot 337). They "taxis" aren't on-call, making them more like water buses, but whatever. [SF Examiner]
