The unfortuate "Bayview Heights fixer" at 42 Gilroy seems to have been featured on these pages before, but maybe that's only because these bad boys tend to all blur together after a while. The little 1-bedroom cottage, with a total of 594 square feet, was listed earlier this year at $249,000, a bit of a far cry from 1998's $122K given its current state. But the short sale has been price chopped $100K and is now under contract at $149,000. Bright sides to the sad story: walking distance to Candlestick Park, and some nice flowers outside!
