The SFBG has a lengthy article more or less blasting the city for trying to ram through the Hunters Point draft environmental impact report. The gist of it: that in order to fulfill a "fantasy of out-maneuvering Santa Clara to get the 49ers," the Planning Commission and the mayor's main economic man are limiting public comment on the document to 15 days, rather than 45 — the tight deadline makes it possible for the Board of Supes to approve the EIR by June 8, coincidentally (or is it?!) the same day Santa Clarans vote on their 49ers stadium. Note to the alleged conspirators: the 49ers. Are. Not. Interested. [SFBG, previously]
