The Mexican Museum's Comeback

New, 1 comment

The Mexican Museum has reopened in Fort Mason after it closed in 2006 in order to focus on fundraising for their new Yerba Buena location, says Mission Loc@l. The museum has had somewhat of a rocky relationship with Fort Mason, with the latter indicating they were ready to move on — the museum owed them $250,000 in back rent. They've since shaken hands again, and the museum's looking to raise $4 million, plus $11 million from the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency, for a spot at 706 Mission topped by condos.
