Problems After Loan Reductions

Tough times all around and an uphill battle for killing off our foreclosure crisis. According to an AP report, a "surprising number" of homeowners who get their loans modified still end up falling behind again anyway. Within a year even. That surprising number: nearly 40 percent. Still, things might be getting better anyway. In mid-2009, about 20 percent of borrowers had missed at least two out of three payments, compared to a much higher 35 percent the same time last year.
