According to the SF Examiner, the city's hosting a brainstorm on the future of the Fillmore's Muni substation. The unused building at the corner of Fillmore and Turk had been planned for a transformation of sorts, but the two proposals that came up for the building were scrapped as soon as the city's redevelopment agency realized they weren't very good— nor were they financially viable. Some have noted that if anything's ever to pan out for the building, the city's going to have to loosen up on the strings attached, namely the community benefit requirement. [SF Examiner, previously]
