Archstone's 720 Apartments Are Just Waiting in the Wings

Turns out Archstone's 720-unit rental project in SoMa's still on the table. The Kava Massih-designed residential development planned for the current site of a Golden Gate Transit parking lot got some ink two years ago in the SF Business Times, but we haven't heard a peep on the project since. A VP at Archstone, though, wanted to let us know that, "Yes, we are still moving forward." The project's part of the Western SoMa environmental impact report, which is currently percolating through the Planning Department's Major Environmental Analysis Division — so it's early yet for Archstone to file an application on this one.
