The Temporary Transbay Terminal to the southwest of Howard and Main, which broke ground nearly a year ago now, is taking shape now with trees, lighting, and — crucially — an orange sign announcing the "Temporary Transbay Termin." According to the Rincon Hill Neighborhood Association, the light fixtures around the temporary terminal resemble the ones around the nearby Infinity— some of us get excited about things like that. The temporary terminal's scheduled to go online early next year, clearing the way to lay the current Transbay Terminal to rest, bless its heart.
