Rumblings & Bumblings: Gas Station Check

New, 3 comments

VAN NESS: Neighborhood blog Polk Sheet has spotted some movement at the shuttered 76 gas station on Van Ness and Filbert: "I saw four titanic trucks hauling tons of dirt to Van Ness and Filbert this morning. No word on what new structure is going up there." Roving camera guy Whole Wheat Toast speculates it'll be the staging area for the construction of Van Ness's bus-rapid transit corridor. (Which, it should be noted, isn't scheduled to begin until around 2011.)

MARINA: Meanwhile, the same ol' same ol' continues at the old Chevron at Buchanan and Bay, which has been languishing for months. No trucks full of dirt even.
