The Market and Octavia intersection is notoriously perilous for pedestrians and cyclists -- but it's about to get even worse. The "safest part of the Market Street commute" for cyclists now has full Muni Board backing to make way for cars. Sharing is nice in theory, but we have to agree with the Bike Coalition on this one -- S.F. just is not Portland, guys. [Streetsblog SF]
