In a hurry to get a move on tearing down the Cathedral Hill Hotel for a new $1.7 billion hospital, the California Pacific Medical Center's pushing through their replacement for St. Luke's Hospital down in the Mission. (It was a quid pro quo thing with the city.) Initial designs were filed just last month, and they hope to break ground on both by mid-2010— provided, of course, they have the money.
