Lennar Clears Another (Minor) Hurdle

New, 1 comment

The state Supreme Court has cockblocked an effort to undo all that is Lennar's Hunters Point/Candlestick Point development dreams. In November, voters approved Prop G, signaling general approval for the megadeveloper to transform the Superfund site into a brand new neighborhood— but that's ancient history now. Even ancienter history: back in oh six, opponents tried to get a citywide referendum of the project on the ballot, but failed due to a technicality (they forgot to attach the plan to the petition, oops). And yesterday, that technicality was upheld. Lesson learned, so hard: love your stapler. [SF Gate]
