Chainsaw-wielding logging crews have hacked 40 of 42 redwood trees that surround the site of Cal's future $124 million athletic training center. Two UCB police chiefs mounted a cherry-picker yesterday to attempt to talk down the 3 remaining treesitting protesters whose unrelenting presence has halted operations on the remaining trees.
