CIVIC CENTER—
Turns out that the bus stop at McAllister and Larkin Streets with the living roof was the work of Gavin & Co. — the city's little arts n' crafts project was unveiled today (Gavin-led ribbon cutting ceremony and all) in honor of the soon-to-open California Academy of Sciences building. So-called "beach strawberries" and "prunella" (no botanists in this office!) are planed atop the shelter; the Academy roof is covered with 'em, too. Twelve other stops throughout the city will also be wrapped in ads for the Academy— of the vinyl sort, that is. [CurbedWire Inbox]
