No, this isn't the new W Hotel in Dubai, it's a proposed tower in Prague designed by Danish architects Bjarke Ingels Group. The mixed-use office and residential building was conceived as a traditional tower block that was sliced and bent apart to maximize natural light and, we can only assume, to make a cool formal gesture in the tradition of Rem Koolhaas. The architects were seeking to unite history and contemporary functionality "by uniting the tradition of building towers in clusters, which is seen in the old Prague, with the rational way of organizing tall buildings as we know it from the American skyscraper."
