Potrero Hill Library: Renderings Revealed and Floor Plan Porn

New, 2 comments

Potrero Hill will soon be home yet another renovated library, courtesy of the Branch Library Improvement Program (BLIP). Designed by the bad boys of SF Architecture, the Bureau of Architecture's Library Design Studio at the Department of Public Works, the renovation will make the building seismically sound, fully accessible, and techno-ready — the holy trinity of San Francisco public design. An expanded second floor will offer incredible city views, as evident in a series of construction photos posted by San Francisco Schtuff. The Potrero Hill Branch reopens in 2009. So far, there are no signs of controversy like that surrounding the new North Beach Library, or protests like that happening outside the Ingleside Branch. It's still early though, so lets give it some time.
