UCSF Hospital: Approved

Just in case you were losing sleep: UCSF's plan for a nearly $1.7 billion (in the first phase alone!) hospital in Mission Bay has been approved. Goal: a cancer-centric, 289 bed hospital for women and children, by 2014. First phase: Hospital and parking lot. Second phase (should the money roll in): another parking structure, cancer outpatient building, office space. Later (as in, a decade from now): 261 more beds, and of course, more parking.
