Greased Lightning Planned for Bayview

The San Francisco Port Commissioners have approved a new Biodiesel plant in Bayview. Planned to be built on Pier 92, the $10 million facility will convert restaurant grease into fuel. Although it will supply the city with "basically carbon free fuel locally produced," neighbors are more concerned with health issues and the proximity of the plant. However, the city environmental agency claims that there will be no negative affects— except for the smell. [CBS5]
