Dissed!: Blogger Hates on Bike Plan, Supes Stand Down

New, 11 comments

Remember that time the Board of Supervisors voted to skip an environmental impact review, thereby expediting a plan to improve cycling at 240 locations across the city? No? Probably because local "gadfly" and blogger Rob Anderson (of District 5 Diary) lawyered up and insisted they do the review. ("This is about the process," he said.) Do it they did — the plan has been wallowing in EIR hell ever since. Not surprisingly, our biking contingent has been known to get a little upset about this. Anderson, for his part, calls the "bicycle fantasy" impractical for car-centric cities. Because San Francisco is totally car-centric.
