If San Francisco's very own Nancy Pelosi gets her way, the Golden Gate National Recreation area will undergo a rebranding — as the Golden Gate National Park. Drastic! Actually, say proponents, the change will make it the country's 59th national park, and gain it the prestige and money that it has long deserved. The bill goes to the House next week. [SF Gate]
