The British Motor building at 901 Van Ness Avenue now hosts the largest solar energy system in San Francisco. 287 kilowatts' worth of integrated solar panels, to be exact— enough enough to power 80 San Francisco homes. Impressive. Now if only if the project's financial backer, Solar City, would play nice with the city and help finance the now-thwarted Public Utilities Commission building.
