Green Things Aren't Always Green

Take a closer look next time you're buying a recycled soda bottle carpet, why don't you -- as you may or may not know, some "green" products are worse for the environment. (Gasp.) Forbes gently reminds us that a product's sustainability over its lifetime is often more important than the green buzzwords attached to its spec sheet — and concludes ultimately that it's greener to keep what you already have if you absolutely must remodel.
