Is San Francisco really one of the nation's best places to buy a home? So claims yet another survey from Forbes who, among other often-dubious honors, has crowned SF has the Second Best City for Home Sellers. Sure it's ridiculously expensive, but with our supposed immunity from recession and MLS-listed homes appreciating almost $300,000 over just a month for no discernible reason, maybe their interns their editors are on to something. The mag doesn't cite any specific reasons for their decisions, but do cite our "high culture, good food, and great architectural bones" as enticing perks. Word of warning to prospective home buyers: Don't plan on replacing those bones or anything— unless you'd to take a bloodbath with the city's preservation squad, that is.
