Greener Than Thou: Renzo Joins the Fire Department

New, 1 comment

Greener Than Thou is our report on San Francisco’s obsession with all things green, giving credit where credit is due and calling bullshit when the need arises. Feeling morally superior on the green front? Testify!

Aside from losing LEED, jacking ticket prices, and hopping into the sack with PG&E, can the California Academy of Sciences do any wrong? Not these days. Turns out that the Academy's roof is good for something other than energy saving: When properly irrigated, green roofs are fantastic fire repellents, as the succulents that often cover them are naturally fire resistant and drought tolerant. How very timely of you, Renzo.
