San Francisco has taken another baby step towards a semi-subsidized solar program for city residents— the Board of Supervisors have granted initial approval—initial approval, mind you—to a solar incentive program that will kick an extra $3-$6,000 at those Greener Than Thou San Franciscans who install solar panels that produce at least 1 kilowatt of power. There's a bit of a bonus for local workers too: $6,000 goes to those who hire city-trained workers to install their photovoltaics. Dragging their feet just a bit longer, the Board will approve (or disapprove) the project at their next meeting. No, really.
