Many, many missing red Swingline staplers are piling up in Lost and Found boxes across the FiDi, as over half a million square feet of office space has flooded the San Francisco market in recent months due to bankruptcies, downsizings, and financial ruin— a clearly negative trend. Sharper Image, Red Envelope and other companies have filed for bankruptcy protection and relinquished their space, as other mega-firms such as Bear Stearns have dumped off only some.
