Santa Clara city officials say that they won't meet the July 22nd deadline to reach an agreement with the 49ers. Trouble in paradise? "Things" not going according to plan? Whatever the issue, we bet they're not to happy with that $500,000 lawyer hired to complete the negotiations. Missing the deadline means that the issue won't make it to the November ballot. Good news for SF. Even better news for SF? If the Santa Clara city council grants an extension to the July 22nd deadline , the issue won't go to a vote until some time between June and October of next year. [ABC 7]
