Storefronting: While We're Talking Disney...

Storefronting is Curbed's regular look at the changing retail scene, with an emphasis on how it impacts neighborhoods. Opening a store? See a store that's opening? Send the deets. We have a special place in our hearts for those who also include digital photos.

Eater SF reports that the Disney Store on Powell Street will soon be flipped into a Morton's Steak House. Several sources, including the Disney Store itself, have confirmed the report. Morton's itself, however, has remained "silent" on the issue, refusing to comment while issuing a few wink-wink, nudge-nudge's in Eater's direction. No consensus on the Disney Family Museum, as we damn well know — but can we claim this Disney-related real estate transaction as neutral territory, even if carnivorous?
