New Yorkers Say "Die Yuppie Scum"

San Francisco housing activists, it's time to step up your game: There are, in fact, Manhattanites who do, in fact, oppose gentrification. On Friday evening, said dissidents banded together at Avalon Bowery Place to stage what Curbed has dubbed the Die Hard Yuppie Scum march against "real estate developers, landlords, yuppie scum, and [probably just for good measure] Republicans." Though the numbers— a scant few dozen— were akin to your average anti-Gitmo scene outside of DiFi's office, their signage frankly kicked the ass of any we've recently seen in SF.
