PriceSpotter is Curbed's price guessing game— We provide you with some details and pictures from an apartment listing, and you take a crack at the price in the comments. Reveal on Wednesday. And hey— cheaters never win, and winners never cheat!
On Monday, we looked at 126 6th Street Avenue, a 3,128 square foot Edwardian with 5 bedrooms and 3—count 'em 3—parking spaces. Your guesses were closer together this week, with a range of 2.695M - 3.25M. Admittedly, we were biased in rooting for Luba. It was her first time guessing and in an incredible display of self control, she did it without cheating — gesture we always appreciate. And at $2.75 million, she was close. An anonymous commenter took it home with a precise hit: $2,895,000. Now maybe we're a little cynical, but whenever an anonymous guest guesses the exact price, we get suspicious. Did our thinly veiled threats of Orwellian justice have no effect on you, anon? Next time, why not join our ranks so you can either bask in the glory of victory or suffer the shame of defeat? Until next week then, the Curbed PriceSpotting Department of Re-Education will be filing paperwork in color triplicate and black and white quadruplicate.
