Supervisor Jake McGoldrick is a man with a plan: "Oust Gav from the MTA" says a recent ballot initiative that has yet to garner a vote from the rest of the Board. McGoldrick's vision— which some see as a power play that will only stall progress at the MTA— shifts more authority to the Supes, allowing Gavin and the Board three nominations a piece, along with one for the city controller. A similar measure was shot down by voters in 2005. [SF Gate]
