PriceSpotter is Curbed's price guessing game— We provide you with some details and pictures from an apartment listing, and you take a crack at the price in the comments. Reveal on Wednesday. And hey— cheaters never win, and winners never cheat!
On Monday we looked at the figurative and literal high-point of condo living — penthouse #PH1E at 501 Beale Street. It's a well documented fact that you, dear PriceSpotters, are a serious group who expect a lot from your real estate listings, and like the Simon Cowell's of the RE world, you're not afraid to voice your opinions. Rarely do your guesses come in on the high side, but this week each and every one of you overestimated the worth of PH1E. Highest baller: Cake or Death, at $2.915 million. Ouch. Better luck next time COD. Actual Price? $1,795,000. That makes this week's winner, with a guess of $1.89 million (due to a suspicion of Photoshoppage in the listing) Runner's High. Congrats RH— we'll get our crack team of expert investigators and defrauders to look into the Photoshop issue, promise.
