Ever wonder how much it costs advertising agencies to plaster construction sites with row after unrelenting row of poster-sized adverts for record releases, films, and the like? A weeks' worth of guerilla marketing or "wildposting," as its called, costs around $4,250 including production. The act is completely illegal in San Francisco (case in point) but agencies hire independent contractors to do the wheat pasting, thus making the deal a black op of sorts. Everyone looks the other way, everyone gets paid. Sounds about right. [Anti Advertising Agency]
