PriceSpotter is Curbed's asking price guessing game. We provide you with some details and pictures from an apartment listing, and you take a crack at the price in the comments.
In what can only be called an example of a precognitive game show strategy, the low bid on this week's Pricespotter was also the first guess: $1. We're guessing the anonymous bidder somehow foresaw that other estimates would be high. Almost all of them, that is. Most guesses came in between $700-800,000, but the only underbid and closest guess came from yet another anonymous "grey square"—come on people, let's build some profiles here—who demanded a sub-$660,000 price for 1233 Howard Street. Sorry to disappoint, but the actual listing price is... $679,000. Consensus on this unit seemed positive, and a couple of you even live in the 'hood. So who's gonna jump?
