Construction Watch: 1390 Mission Street Grows, Painfully

New, 9 comments

Where once the King Diner proudly stood, a new vertical suburb rises at 1390 Mission Street. This one definitely won't be winning any local beauty contests (though a face off against ugly duckling the Intercontinental— judged by John King, natch— could be interesting). As far as progress goes, curved slabs, surely referred to as "sculptural" in a beige boardroom somewhere, are now holding the corner while rebar continues to rise toward its eventual 12 stories.
