Attention displaced peoples of San Francisco: Trying to make good on the f'ups from the 1960's and 70's that left many Hunters Point and Western Addition residents down and out, Gavin introduced legislation yesterday that will (allegedly) make good on a flawed program that promises these folks a first crack at newly-built affordable housing. In an admittedly sloppy city program, no-longer-neighbors were given certificates (dug out of cereal boxes, apparently) that were to be used to rent or purchase homes in redeveloped areas— the plan didn't work out so well, natch.
