Architecture Watch: Smooth Sailing Through Malaysia

New, 2 comments

Things work a little differently in Asia. Residential developments, for example, look like abstract dry-docked sailboats instead of blocky generic developer models (SWL337, we're looking at you, here.). Massive and repetitive forms have the potential to become oppressive housing blocks, but the Putrajaya waterfront development in Malaysia avoids this a with sexy, visually permeable forms designed by Italian firm, Manfredi Nicoletti Architetto.
