Pricespotter Reveal: Tragic Floor Plan at 77 Beaver Street

New, 4 comments

PriceSpotter is Curbed's asking price guessing game. We provide you with some details and pictures from an apartment listing, and you take a crack at the price in the comments. Wednesday Reveal. And hey, cheaters never win, and winners never cheat!

This week PriceSpotter winner is Sparky— you're on a roll, Spark. With a guess of $879,000, Sparky was only $4,000 off the asking price of $875,000. The low guess for the week wasn't too far off the mark at $825,000, while the high bid came in at $1.4M — we're guessing this one came from an optimistic neighbor. High or low, there were a few things it seemed like we could all agree on: the, er, non-traditional floor plan leaves something to be desired. (One bathroom, flanked by 2 bedrooms and a kitchen; accessible only by the bedrooms? ) Our readers lend their professional assessments:

Crow Soup: "$800,000 for the view, $80,000 for the horrible floor plan."

One Wag to reader Nicholas: "I hate hate HATE the master bedroom right next to the kitchen, Nicholas. It would be like sleeping in the maid's room (my pet peeve is trying to sleep when someone's doing the dishes -- but that's just ME.) Really sets my tith on edge, to quote Ricky Ricardo."
