Protest Watch: Anti-War Demos Overtake San Francisco

New, 2 comments

Brace, San Francisco, and be proud. Expect an especially hairy day in the FiDi today; protests against the U.S. occupation of Iraq— the war in Iraq, now in its FIFTH year— are already raging strong. Hotbeds of activity include DiFi's office at 1 Post Street (at Market), the Federal Building (Mayne, breathe), the SF Democratic Party H.Q. at 155 Sansome Street, and the Army Recruiting office at 670 Davis Street. Arrests? Oh hell yes. 12 or so, at latest count, including 7 at the federal reserve this morning.
