Roadragers, sick of swerving around those tall, triangular bikes careening through the Mission as of late? Blame Wired magazine, whose in-house speed racers have been test driving the Strida 5 Folding Bicycle. Caution: the Strida 5 is not a real bike; it's designed specifically for those who've gotta schlep a mile or two to public transpo, for which it's well-suited. Fold 'em up and go! Drawbacks: failure to brake from the rear first yields a guaranteed face plant. Nice. Riders of the Strida 5 will need "nerves of steel and a strong sense of the ridiculous," says Wired's test drivers. Sounds about right. [Wired]
