City Slaps Owners With Fines They Likely Won't Pay

It looks like the Department of Building Inspection is doing it's job— or at least making a public gesture to indicate as much. A couple of Mission residential hotels are finally feeling the burn for failing to fight drug activity and for renting illegal units; collectively, they've been slapped with $675,000 in fines.
