Asks a very perplexed (not to mention, dubious) reader: "Dear Curbed SF: I smell a fish at 424 Pioche Street. First, well, look at the place. I'm having a hard time picturing myself sitting down to a home-cooked meal inside of this joint. Starting an auto repair business? Maybe. Breeding fight dogs? Sure. Sleeping? Not so much. The listing, however, is what really confuses me. The place holds 500 square feet, and though the main listing says 1 bedroom/ 1 bathroom, the notation claims that tax records list it as a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit with "permits unknown." Can one of your brilliant readers please explain how anyone with an even rudimentary knowledge of mathematics would buy a claim that 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and laundry room might fit into a 500 square foot space? Thanks."
